Making new friends

Yesterday we spoke at the Kings Cross Filling Station as part of their ongoing programme of events. It’s always pleasure to meet new people that share a common passion or are willing to discover more. And what better place to have that talk than at the Filling Station: a perfect example of how to make good use of an un-used space encapsulating the transition of Kings Cross.

We spoke about the creation of this Honey Club and what inspired us to create this social enterprise for the community. One thing we have learned is that we don’t always know what the future holds for us and in a way we don’t want to know every step – it’s an emergent type of community engagement and we embrace the organic nature of this club.

We showed everyone a number of products that we’ve been experimenting with, including a range of honey pot covers (see above). The friendly staff at the Homeslice London (residents on the Filling Station) provided everyone with stone baked pizza base which was eaten with our honey, which never disappoints.

Thanks to the wonderful Kings Cross Filling Station staff and to everyone that came!
