It was a fun two weeks watching the activity over at our Beetopia exhibition in The Gardian. Lots of you made it down there on the private view night and it remained popular over the following two weeks.
Firstly a big thank you to everyone who helped put the show together, Wolff Olins for their design and event management. Global Generation for the delicious food, The Guardian for hosting the show and providing the frames and last but not least the most generous artists who without them there wouldn’t have been much of a show!
As you probably all know, the show was only a part of Beetopia — all the artworks were auctioned online with some fierce competitive bidding right up to the last minute. The auction is closed and we are proud to say all artwork has been sold and we raised £1454.
Of that pot of gold 25% goes to the artists who submitted their work, 5% to Jumblebee for hosting the auction and the remaining 70% goes back into the Honey Club so we can continue our work in the community and keep putting on great events throughout the year.
If you were a successful bidder, congratulations — we will be in touch shortly to arrange delivery / collection. If you came close to winning a piece do not worry as you can own a pack of 25 art cards with mini versions of the real deal printed kindly by Screaming Colour. They are £10 and can be bought by emailing email@example.com (we hope to open our online shop soon).
Thank you again and don’t forget to make London a Beetopia.
Ben Gibbs, Wolff Olins
